Answer by trip2rio
Hi,

130 means USD or R$? Per person or for 3 people?

If 130 is per person (no matter USD or R$), please visit our website at www.trip2rio.com and send us a message. We can help you a nice hotel close to the beach.
If 130 is for 3 people, try to google for “albergue rio de janeiro” or “hostel rio de janeiro”. There are serveral nice hostels close to the beach.

If you need any other “ground” services in Rio, please visist our website and/or send us a message.

Stay in the Zona Sul, which is the south zone of the city that contains the neighborhoods of Ipanema, Leblon, Barra de Tijuca, Copacabana which are the most affluent areas of Rio and are therefore the safest. Be wary of favelas.

Hi. Go to http://www.rioflatrentals.com.br/ and toggle around the website to find the apartment you want. STAY IN IPANEMA!!!! Beach is better and neighborhood is safe. Plenty of restaurants and clubs everywhere as well as the beach is 2 blocks away. Price is as low as $120/night for many of the apartments and a few even have internet. Apartment with code I-121-VP is my personal favorite – has a KING bed and another small bedroom. This rental company is reputable and I’ve stayed with them at least 5 times with NO PROBLEMS. You pay a deposit via PAYPAL then bring the balance in CASH at check in. They meet you in the lobby and bring you up, give you the keys and you’re all set.

Advantage is there’s a kitchen and fridge so you can cook and keep beverages etc for yourself. Hotel is good if you require the services hotels offer, but I prefer to rent an apartment. If you want a hotel, the HOTEL VERMONT on Rua Visconde Da Piraja is also great and inexpensive and 2 blocks from IPANEMA BEACH – http://hotelvermont.com.br/novo/. Stay in Ipanema and cab or walk to Copacabana. Ipanema is just better to stay.

if you really dont mind, then stay at a hostel… depends u can spend like 10 usd x night, and u get breakfast…
last time i booked in Che Lagarto Copacabana, it was ok! loved the breakfast and made lots of friends!

things to do, go to Corcovado, try to go around 4 pm then u can see the sunset upstairs! it get dark early, go to a football match to Maracana, other than that is just party!
